Swedish punk-rock band INVSN (pronounced invasion) took over Toronto, playing a set at the Bovine on Queen Street West after relocating from the Velvet Underground. Even with the smaller venue, the band, lead by Dennis Lyxzén of Refused and bandmate from the (International) Noise Conspiracy, Sara Almgren, did not disappoint with the energy and soul in their performance. The small venue and dark setting made it a particularly difficult set to shoot. With 50mm f1.4 being too close up while 17-40mm being too dark - which resulted in cranking the ISO all the way up to 12800 during parts of the performance! |
