Hours before doors were even scheduled to open, Lil Xan fans trickled in line in front of Mod Club Theatre in Toronto in anticipation of catching a glimpse of the SoundCloud rapper from his tour van parked in front of the venue, and to secure a coveted spot by the stage. Audience members generally consisted of teenage girls decked out in camo pants, colourful hoodies and Xanarchy merchandise, which rose to fame as an ironic "anti-xan" movement following the sudden death of emo-rap pioneer Lil Peep.
Fellow Xanarchy member $teven Cannon opened the stage hyping up the crowd with a 30 minute set including "Inxanity" and "Crash The Whip" which both have well over 2 million streams on Spotify, each.
By the time Lil Xan joined on stage, the crowd was already going nuts. The rapper performed some of his most popular songs including "Xanarchy," "Been Bout It" and "Slingshot" before doing "Betrayed," twice, as an encore. As a treat for the crowd, Lil Xan also performed a cover of "Beamer Boy" by Lil Peep as a tribute. Climbing the bar stools, side stage, basically anything that will give them a slight upper hand for the chance to touch the hand of either rapper who made sure to engage with their fans throughout the set.
